His passion for selling our industry's opportunities has attracted top level talent not only within but from outside of the Betting & Gaming market place. Lester Bird only takes on assignments which are Betting & Gaming related and has the advantage of being a first mover in the United Kingdom by a number of years in this respect.
He started his career as a Trainee Planning Engineer at Wimpey Engineering in 1984. After graduating with a 2:1 Honors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Westminster he joined John Brown Engineering where he began a four year Monitored Professional Development Engineering Scheme.
After a mass round of redundancies and recession within the Petro-Chemical Industry at the back end of 1993 he took a year out and returned to work with a nationwide Technical Recruitment Agency. Becoming frustrated with the limitations of traditional advertising recruitment he started his own business in mid 1995 pursuing Head-hunting as opposed to recruiting through advertising methods.
He is now a dedicated networker / Head-hunter and works exclusively within the Betting & Gaming Industry with his first industry related assignment dating back to late 1995 for a Big 3 Bookmaker which he serviced as the preferred supplier for eleven years until a change of ownership and its subsequent board management.
Lester Bird was born in London - United Kingdom in 1966 and is married with one child.
